Modern interpretation of heritage (techniques and sources)
In the heat of the past years, which were called the “global war on terror,” the various media outlets in our Gulf cultural home have launched a new language in reading “Islamic heritage,” which derived its political legitimacy from presenting itself as a lifeline among the burning Sunnis.
It soon became clear to the astonished observer that these ideas, new to our jurisprudential climate, were drawn in the evening from the Arab modernist library and spread in the morning in the local press.
Among these piles of modernist programs in interpreting heritage, there was a “thin thread” that was not sufficiently captured and highlighted, perhaps leading us to the question: Where did the Arab modernists get this raw heritage material during their reading and interpretation of Islamic heritage?...
