The culture of charity work (how do we establish it? and how do we generalize it?)
Written by Dr. Abdul Karim Bakkar
The love of goodness and the desire to contribute to it are deeply rooted in the souls of Muslims.
What we see of weakness in charitable and voluntary activities is basically due to the nation’s suffering from a cultural disconnection from its origins and values.
Because of the long tunnel of backwardness in which we found ourselves, today we thank God Almighty for what we are witnessing in terms of growing awareness of the importance of charitable work.
What we see in terms of development in its institutions in terms of quality and quantity.
We have the ambition that each of our communities will become a large workshop in which large numbers of men and women work;
Charity work is a nation's issue, not a group's issue.
