Summary of the Path of the Seekers: The book explains the path of those who seek God Almighty in all aspects of their lives, especially hidden matters and heart-related actions.
The author divided the book into four quarters:
1- A quarter of the acts of worship.
2- Quarter of habits.
3- A quarter of the fatalities.
4- A quarter of the savings.
He began with the quarter of worship, which is the book of knowledge and its merits and what is related to it. He then followed with the quarter of customs, where he began with etiquette in eating, gathering for it, hospitality and the like. He then concluded with the third quarter, where is the quarter of the destructive acts, beginning with an explanation of the wonders of the hearts. Finally, the fourth quarter of the book, which is the quarter of salvation, where is the book of repentance, its conditions and pillars and what is related to that.
The book is a summary of the book Minhaaj al-Qasidin by Ibn al-Jawzi, which is a summary of the book Ihya’ by al-Ghazali.
Author:
Abdul Rahman bin Muhammad bin Ahmad bin Qudamah Al-Maqdisi Al-Jama’ili Al-Hanbali, Shams Al-Din, Abu Al-Faraj, a jurist, one of the prominent Hanbalis, was born in Damascus in the year (597 AH), and he was the first to hold the position of Hanbali judge there. He remained in that position for about 12 years, and did not receive any information from him, then he dismissed himself, and died in Damascus (682 AH).
