Sharia policy and Islamic jurisprudence
Written by Abdul Rahman Taj
Sharia policy, even if it is something other than the general, fixed, codified technical jurisprudence that was deduced by jurists,
It is from the true jurisprudence that achieves the objectives of Sharia in protecting the interests of the servants.
Which sets the general affairs straight in the areas of judiciary, fatwas, law-making, and other aspects of the nation’s affairs.
It is a science that studies the laws and systems that govern the affairs of the Islamic state, which are in accordance with the principles of Islam.
It is a flexible and dynamic jurisprudence, in which keeping pace with the times is taken into account.
It achieves demands that are renewed and varied according to the developments of nations and the conditions of individuals.
Islam came - its jurisprudence and politics - to fulfill the interests of people in every time and place.
Keeping pace with new social developments, and able to meet the demands of life and achieve the interests of the nation in all circumstances and times.
Observing custom and applying what it dictates is also a duty in the nation’s politics.
And managing its affairs in accordance with the principles of Sharia, which only aims to achieve order and the interests of the servants.
