The fourth part of the Kingdom of Eloquence series, by Hanan Lashin.
He turned and let his legs loose. He was running, almost outrunning the wind that was blowing in his face. He was almost bursting out of his skin from the speed, and thoughts were clashing in his head like successive lightning bolts.
He was so surprised that he did not notice that he was running towards a deep abyss in the mountainous area, towards which he had quickly exited the forest when he saw them chasing him. If they caught up with him, they would kill him, and if he jumped, he would die!
His mind is paralyzed from thinking, he will stop and defend himself, and he will try to escape from that village whose people are unjust.
He stopped involuntarily, his legs slipping due to the weight of his body, and he fell very quickly, screaming towards the foot of the mountain. He closed his eyes, surrendering to his fate, his heart beating violently.
