Hell Road
The novel is divided between two heroes, the tyrant who speaks on his own behalf, and the prisoner who narrates his observations during thirty years of suffering that no human being can imagine.

The end is the hope of the weary. Truth is the hope of the fearful. And justice is the hope of the oppressed."
