Refinement of Ibn Hisham's biography
Tahdhib Seerat Ibn Hisham by Abd al-Salam Harun is a work that aims to refine and simplify the biography of the Prophet Muhammad, peace and blessings be upon him, as narrated by Ibn Hisham, so that it presents it in a form more suitable for modern reading. Abd al-Salam Harun, one of the most famous scholars of Arab heritage, removed parts that he considered not essential to the biography of the Prophet, such as the names of the prisoners of Badr and the names of the Muslims’ horses in the battles, focusing on the essential events that illustrate the life of the Prophet, his morals, and his conduct in spreading Islam.
The book provides an easy reading of the Prophet's biography while maintaining the accuracy of important events and dates, and aims to facilitate understanding for new readers and those interested in the Prophet's biography in a deeper way. It also highlights the Islamic values embodied in the life of the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, such as jihad, mercy, and justice.
