Anas Al-Muhibbin: This is an explanation of the book Tahdhib Al-Nufus fi Tarteeb Al-Durus. It was written and arranged by the scholar Sheikh Yusuf Al-Nabhani, known as Mukhtasar Riyad Al-Saliheen by Imam Al-Nawawi, may God have mercy on him.
He had selected the hadiths for this summary from the book Riyad as-Salihin. To facilitate its teaching and memorization, he limited himself in each of its chapters to a verse from the Book of God Almighty, or a few selected verses and a group of hadiths that Imam al-Nawawi included in these chapters from the hadiths of al-Bukhari and Muslim, may God Almighty have mercy on them.
He adhered to this in all the chapters of the summary, except that he added a few hadiths from outside the book Riyad as-Salihin in one of the chapters, along with additions in explaining some words or sentences that he transferred from the original or from some of the books of Imam al-Nawawi, may God have mercy on him.
I worked in this book (The Companionship of Lovers) as follows:
1- Conducting a brief translation of both the original author, Imam al-Nawawi, may God have mercy on him, and the author of the summary, Sheikh Yusuf al-Nabhani, may God have mercy on him.
2- Correcting the texts of the hadith.
3 - The hadiths of the book were extracted from the two Sahihs, with the hadith number mentioned in Bukhari and Muslim next to each hadith. If the hadith in Bukhari is mentioned in several topics, then I mention the numbers of the hadiths mentioned in more than one place if the narration is as it is or close to the wording of the hadith.
4 - I compared the texts of the hadiths from the summary to the book Riyad as-Salihin and to the occurrence of these hadiths in the Sahihs of Bukhari and Muslim. I pointed out some of the hadiths mentioned by Sheikh al-Nabhani that were not included in Riyad as-Salihin.
5 - I explained the strange words of the hadiths in a comprehensive or brief explanation if necessary.
6 - I mentioned some of the jurisprudential rulings related to the hadiths.
7 - Numbering and detailing the text of the book.
8 - If the hadith is repeated in more than one chapter, I will explain that in the comments, along with mentioning the hadith number, to avoid repeating the explanation and to return the reader to the place where this hadith was explained.
