The Alchemist

A novel that made its author one of the most famous writers in the world. An Andalusian shepherd named Santiago went in search of his dream of a buried treasure near the pyramids of Egypt.

His journey began in Spain, passing through Morocco, until he reached Egypt. He was guided throughout the journey by supernatural signs.

On his way to the treasure, many events occur, preventing him from continuing his journey, until he finds the means to help him continue. He is robbed twice, works in a crystal shop, accompanies an Englishman, searching for his personal legend, witnesses wars between tribes, until he meets the alchemist who knows great secrets and urges him to go towards his treasure. At the same time, he meets Fatima, his great love, and a conflict rages inside him between staying by his beloved's side and continuing the journey in search of the treasure.

Thus, the idea of ​​this novel is summed up in a sentence the king said to Santiago: “If you desire something, the whole world conspires to fulfill your desire.”
